The historical walk is taken from Visions of the Plains - A History of Burren Junction and District 2nd edition updated to include events of 1988-2004 by Judy Field.
The history of the town of Burren Junction is mainly based on recalled memory and is therefore necessarily subject to human error. What it does reveal, however, is a story of human resourcefulness and community commitment as the people of the town and district bonded together to develop a town from our of a winderness of dustry black soil plains only disturbed by a stretch of railway line and a small cluster of construction workers tents.
